Want to Join Us?
The Bookshop Blog is always looking for new contributors.
If you are a bookstore owner, book collector, online book dealer, or somebody that either is considering opening a shop – online or physical – or just has a passion for books and enjoy writing about your experiences then this may be a good fit for you.
Our writers tend to fall into two groups (and we welcome both). Some are just crazy about books (either selling or collecting) and would love nothing more than a nice audience for their writing (about 15 000 unique book fans per month). Others are often small business owners looking for links from a highly trusted web presence (that means a high PageRank in Google speak). As I mentioned earlier, either group is welcome as long as the posts meet our guidelines.
We have tried a few methods of having new writers join us and have settled on one that works best for both The Bookshop Blog and the writers. Simply put there is a one month trial period then after that you are paid $7.00 per article published, with a possibility of moving to a higher payout a little further down the road. We would need a minimum of three articles submitted during the trial month then beginning the second month you can submit as much or as little as you like (there may be a maximum imposed, depending on that month’s budget). Payouts are made around the 10th of the following month.
If you could use a couple extra dollars and love to write about your book selling and/or book collecting experiences then please don’t be shy. Submissions are dead simple (as easy as sending an email) and we’ve never missed a payout!
