Nothing Up My Sleeve

I’ve always been fascinated by magicians and how they do their tricks. I honestly, don’t want to know the mechanics, the fun is wondering how that rabbit appears instantly from a top hat, or how a woman could possibly float in mid air apparently  with no strings attached, or how a an assistant can be sawed in half.

Houdini has held the most interest for me due to his gymnastic showmanship, the perils he really put himself through, his accidental death, and his vow too return from the dead on Halloween, which he has yet to do.

So when I saw this group of antique magic books for sale, I thought perhaps others share my awe, and would like to peruse. A little bit of magic for a cloudy winter’s day.
