Blogathon for Literacy 2009 – July 25th

Our friends at Open Books are pulling out all the stops with their blog. In an effort to support Literacy they are doing a 24 hour blogathon. Please help them raise awareness either by joining in or blogging about it! Thanks!

Remember when you were in school and you would bowl for charity, and for every pin you knocked down you got, say, ten cents? Now picture that going on worldwide with blogs instead of bowling. On July 25, as part of Blogathon 2009, people across the world will update their websites every 30 minutes for 24 hours straight. For this, they collect sponsorships, and at the end of the ‘thon all the money raised goes to the deserving charities they selected.
