online bookselling, opening a bookstore

Would you like to add some more time to your day?

As anyone who has described his first few hundred books knows the chore of creating a nice listing comes down to a few book specific notes followed by a handful of stock phrases used over and over again. There are some quite simple tools that can turn “solid binding, text is clean and unmarked, dust jacket has light edge wear only” into “de3″ or any other simple combination of letters or numbers. Many dealers have four or five stock descriptions that do not need to be retyped each time. Our preferred tool for this is ShortKeys light. It is a snap to set up and uses about 6mb of memory (not bad for any newer computer) and is completely free. You can download it from the ShortKeys website.

Let us know if you have another tool for text replacement or have any comments on data entry in general.
